Hello everyone,

I just joined the ECPM world and was wondering if any of the older members can educate me on what happens on this network!

Hi Charles,

Welcome to the site. I've been using it on and off for a while now, I've found it great for reading industry news in particular, I've also found some long lost colleagues on here too. I haven't really been active in the forums but I hope to change that in the near future as I think it will be helpful for tips, technical info etc (I noticed some older conversations from the projects controls people seem quite in depth for example)

Personally I find it an interesting, niche place for us engineering folks! I'll be glad to connect with you.

Can anyone else chime in?

Cheers,

Dave

Like Dave I use the site for reading news and catching up with/finding old colleagues. I have also thought that it might be a good way to find work. There seems to be a lot of great potential in it. I will be happy to connect with too.

Thanks Dave & John for your replies! Is the newtork global or Canada specific? Apart from the online network, are there other ways for members to connect? Like face to face? Can one  zoom in on members within a specific area or region or a city like Calgary for example?

I will try and explore more of the features. It is certainly very interesting to have a network for engineers involved with EPCM type work in the Oil & Gas to have an exclusive space to hook-up, share ideas and find work opportunities. Other online networking fora appear too general in nature and not focused on a given profession or occupation.
